What 12V battery does my Model 3 need?

If your car is pre-2022 (Chrome trim usually), it takes a 12V Lead-Acid (85B24LS). If it is 2022+ (Black trim, Ryzen chip), it likely has the 16V Lithium battery.

2. Newer Models (2022+) - Lithium 16V

Warning: Teslas are heavy and have flat underbodies containing the HV battery. Lifting them incorrectly can puncture the battery pack (Total Loss).

Crucial Knowledge: Tow Mode & Transport Mode

If your Tesla ever needs to be towed (e.g. flat tire that can’t be fixed), you MUST put it in Tow Mode.

Why? The electric motors generate electricity when wheels turn. Towing without Tow Mode can fry the inverters.
How: Controls > Service > Towing.
If the screen is dead: You need “Transport Mode” enabled via external 12V jump power. EV Phuket technicians carry the specialized jumpers to enable this status even on a dead car.

Charging Networks in Phuket for Tesla Drivers

Since Tesla Superchargers are not yet everywhere in Phuket (currently only at Central Phuket Floresta), you will rely on third-party networks. Your Tesla uses a Type 2 (AC) and CCS2 (DC) port (Thailand Standard).
