No Starter Motor: The 12V battery in a Hybrid doesn’t crank a loud starter motor like a gas car (electric motor starts the engine). Its main job is to “boot the system” so the High Voltage system can engage.
Load at Standstill: When stopped at a red light, the engine turns off, but AC, lights, and audio continue running, drawing power from the 12V battery (and High Voltage battery via converter).
Connectivity: GWM has an always-connected App, drawing power to the system 24/7.

How to Extend Your GWM Battery Life

Drive Long Distances: If Hybrids are driven only short city trips, the engine might not run enough to spin the generator. Driving long distances (like around Phuket island) helps charge the battery fully.
