Tesla brought the Model Y L to the Bangkok International Motor Show — a long-wheelbase, three-row Model Y with six seats in a 2+2+2 layout, priced at ฿1,999,000 with deliveries from Q2 2026.
Thailand became the third market in the world to get it, after China and Australia/New Zealand.

The pricing detail worth noticing
The Model Y L Premium is ฿20,000 cheaper than the Model Y Premium Long Range AWD.
The longer, six-seat, higher-range version costs less than the five-seat car it is based on. That is unusual enough to be worth checking against current Tesla Thailand pricing before you assume the standard car is the value choice — because on these numbers it isn’t.
Who it actually suits
A genuine six-seater at this price is rare in Thailand. The market’s family EVs are mostly five-seat SUVs, and the alternatives with a real third row sit either well above ฿2 million or come from brands with much shallower service networks here.
681 km WLTP is a lot of range for Phuket. For an island where most journeys are short, this is less about long-distance capability and more about how rarely you need to charge at all. With home charging, a car like this can go over a week between plug-ins in normal island use.
But that range figure is a test number. In this climate, with air conditioning working hard at 35 °C and the third row occupied, expect meaningfully less. That applies to every EV, not just this one.
What Tesla owners in Phuket should know
Tesla has its own 12V arrangement, and it changed. Cars from 2017-2020 used a conventional AGM 12V battery of around 45Ah. From 2021 Tesla switched to a 15.5 V lithium-ion unit of roughly 6.9 Ah / 99 Wh, built from four NMC cells and communicating over a LIN bus.
This matters practically: a Tesla with a failed 12V will not wake up, no matter how full the traction pack is, and the newer lithium unit is not something a generic battery shop can substitute.
